32. Absalom svarte: Jeg sendte jo bud til dig og bad dig komme hit, så jeg kunde sende dig til kongen og si ham fra mig: Hvorfor er jeg kommet hit fra Gesur? Det hadde vært bedre for mig om jeg ennu var der. Og nu vil jeg komme for kongens øine, og er det nogen brøde hos mig, så får han drepe mig.
