15. Da raden til å gå inn til kongen kom til Ester, datter av Abiha'il, som var farbror til hennes fosterfar Mordekai, krevde hun ikke annet enn det som kongens hoffmann Hegai, kvinnevokteren, rådet til. Og Ester vant yndest hos alle som så henne.
