14. Da sa hans hustru Seres og alle hans venner til ham: La dem gjøre en galge i stand; femti alen høi, og be imorgen kongen om at Mordekai må bli hengt i den; så kan du gå glad med kongen til gjestebudet! Dette råd syntes Haman godt om, og han lot gjøre galgen i stand.
