8. I det annet år efterat de var kommet til Guds hus i Jerusalem i den annen måned, tok de fatt på verket, Serubabel, Sealtiels sønn, og Josva, Josadaks sønn, med deres andre brødre, prestene og levittene, og alle de som fra fangenskapet var kommet til Jerusalem. De satte levittene fra tyveårsalderen og opover til å føre tilsyn med arbeidet på Herrens hus.
