14. Fra den dag jeg blev utnevnt til stattholder i Juda land, fra kong Artaxerxes' tyvende år til hans to og trettiende år, i hele tolv år, har hverken jeg eller mine brødre nytt noget av den kost som stattholderen kunde kreve.
