27. gjorde David sig rede og drog avsted med sine menn og slo ihjel to hundre mann blandt filistrene. Og David tok deres forhuder med sig og la dem fulltallig frem for kongen, så han kunne bli kongens svigersønn. Da gav Saul ham sin datter Mikal til hustru.
