33. Og Esekias la sig til hvile hos sine fedre, og de begravde ham ved opgangen til Davids efterkommeres graver. Hele Juda og Jerusalems innbyggere viste ham stor ære ved hans død. Og hans sønn Manasse blev konge i hans sted.
