45. Men folket sa til Saul: Skal Jonatan døy, han som hev vunne denne store sigeren i Israel? Det skal aldri henda! So visst som Herren lever: Ikkje eit hår skal verta skadt på hovudet hans! For det er med Guds hjelp han hev gjort det han hev gjort i dag. Soleis berga folket Jonatan, so han ikkje miste livet.
