12. Morgonen etter var Samuel tidleg uppe og tok ut og vilde fara til møtes med Saul. Han fekk spurt at Saul var komen til Karmel og hadde reist seg eit minnesmerke der; so hadde han snutt og fare nedetter til Gilgal.
