2. So kalla kongen Gibeons-mennene til seg og tala med dei. Gibeons-mennene høyrde ikkje til Israels-borni, men til dei amoritane som sat att i landet; Israels-borni hadde svore dei trygd, men Saul freista å hogga dei ned, ihuga som han var for saki åt Israels- og Juda-borni.
