So kom Gad til David og bar Herrens bod fram for han og sa: Kva vil du helst: at det skal vera svolt og naud i landet ditt i sju år, eller at du skal ljota røma for uvenene dine i tri månader, medan dei elter deg, eller at det skal koma ei drepsott yver landet ditt i tri dagar? Tenk deg no um og gjer upp med deg sjølv kva du vil eg skal svara han som sende meg?
