38. Medan han so ein gong heldt bøn i templet åt Nisrok, guden sin, gjekk det so til at Adrammelek og Sareser, sønene hans, hogg han ned med sverdet. Dei kom seg undan til Ararat-landet, og Asarhaddon, son hans, vart konge etter han.
