14. Då kongen i Ai såg det, skunda han seg ut tidleg um morgonen, både han og bymennene, alt herfolket hans, og vilde møta israelitane og stridast med dei på den staden dei hadde avtala, framanfor moen; men han visste ikkje at det låg so mykje folk og lurde på han vestanfor byen.
