16. जब ज्योतिषीहरूले आफूलाई छक्क्याएको चाल पाए तब हेरोद क्रोधित भए र उनले ज्योतिषीहरूद्वारा पत्तो लगाइएको ठीक समयअनुसार बेथलेहेम र त्यसका वरपर भएका दुई वर्ष र त्यस मुनिका बालकहरूलाई मार्ने आदेश दिए।
