1. E sucedeu que, ouvindo Adoni-Zedeque, rei de Jerusalém, que Josué tomara a Ai, e a tinha destruído totalmente, e fizera a Ai, e ao seu rei, como tinha feito a Jericó e ao seu rei, e que os moradores de Gibeom fizeram paz com os israelitas, e estavam no meio deles,
