Aquis chamou então David e disse-lhe: "Juro por Deus que tu és um homem recto, e seria para mim um prazer ter-te comigo nesta campanha, pois desde o dia em que vieste para junto de mim até hoje, não encontrei nada de mau no teu comportamento. Mas acontece que os outros chefes militares não te vêem com bons olhos.
