4. Perante isto, Saul disse ao seu escudeiro: "Desembainha a tua espada e atravessa-me com ela, para que não sejam estes pagãos a matar-me e a gozar ainda por cima." Mas o escudeiro não quis fazê-lo, porque tinha muito medo. Saul pegou então na espada e lançou-se em cima dela.
