9. Em seguida, mandou buscar Acazias, que se tinha escondido na Samaria. Prenderam-no e levaram-no a Jeú que o mandou matar. Mas deram-lhe sepultura, porque se lembraram que ele era filho de Josafat, que seguiu o Senhor de todo o coração. Da família de Acazias, não ficou ninguém que pudesse suceder-lhe como rei.
