11. Salomão fez com que a sua esposa, filha do faraó, saísse da cidade de David para ir habitar num palácio que construiu para ela. De facto, o rei dizia: "A minha mulher não deve habitar no palácio de David, rei de Israel, porque este edifício, onde esteve a arca do Senhor, também é sagrado."
