18. Sete dias depois, a criança morria. Os responsáveis da corte tinham medo de dizer a David, pois pensavam: "Quando a criança estava viva, nós bem lhe pedíamos, mas ele não fazia caso. O que será agora, quando lhe dissermos que a criança morreu? Pode cometer alguma loucura!"
