12. Enquanto ele oferecia os sacrifícios, Absalão mandou chamar Aitofel, conselheiro de David, que vivia na cidade de Guilo. Desta forma aumentava o número dos partidários de Absalão e a conspiração tornava-se cada vez mais forte.
