20. Menahem a ridicat argintul acesta de la toţi cei cu avere din Israel, ca să-l dea împăratului Asiriei; i-a pus să dea fiecare câte cincizeci de sicli de argint. Împăratul Asiriei s-a întors înapoi, şi nu s-a oprit atunci în ţară.
