8. Când s-a auzit porunca împăratului şi hotărârea lui, au fost strânse un mare număr de fete în capitala Susa, sub privegherea lui Hegai. O dată cu ele a fost luată şi Estera şi adusă în casa împăratului, sub privegherea lui Hegai, păzitorul femeilor.
