11. Ebed-Melec a luat cu el pe oamenii aceia, şi s-a dus la casa împăratului, într-un loc dedesubtul vistieriei; a luat de acolo nişte petice de haine purtate şi nişte zdrenţe de haine vechi, şi le-a pogorât lui Ieremia în groapă, cu nişte funii.
