38. După aceea, Iosif din Arimatea, care era ucenic al lui Isus, dar pe ascuns, de frica Iudeilor, a rugat pe Pilat să-i dea voie să ia trupul lui Isus de pe cruce. Pilat i-a dat voie. El a venit deci, şi a luat trupul lui Isus.
