29. A spânzurat de un lemn pe împăratul din Ai, şi l-a lăsat pe lemn până seara. La apusul soarelui, Iosua a poruncit să i se pogoare trupul de pe lemn; l-au aruncat la intrarea porţii cetăţii, şi au ridicat pe el o mare grămadă de pietre, care este până în ziua de azi.
