17. Când s-a spus aceasta lui David, el a adunat pe toţi Israeliţii, a trecut Iordanul şi, venind asupra acelora, s-a aşezat în linie de bătaie în faţa lor. Şi a intrat David în luptă cu Sirienii şi aceştia s-au luptat cu el.
