17. Şi a zis David către Dumnezeu: ,,Oare nu eu am poruncit să se numere poporul? Eu am greşit, eu am făcut rău; dar aceste oi ce au făcut? Doamne Dumnezeul meu, să vină mâna Ta asupra mea, asupra casei tatălui meu, iar nu asupra poporului Tău, ca să-l piardă pe el!
