30. Doi dintre ei luând pe Iuda Macabeul în mijloc şi acoperindu-l cu armele lor, îl păzeau nevătămat; iar asupra vrăjmaşilor aruncau săgeţi şi trăsnete. Deci învălmăşindu-se, pentru că nu vedeau, şi tulburându-se, cădeau în sabie.
