8. Şi aşa s-a sfârşit viaţa lui de nelegiuiri, că l-a închis Areta, tiranul Arabilor. Iar el, dintr-o cetate într-alta fugind, fiind gonit de toţi şi urât ca un călcător de lege şi în necinste fiind la toţi ca un ucigaş al patriei şi al cetăţenilor, a fost gonit în Egipt.
