6. Amoniţii insă, văzând că s-au făcut nesuferiţi înaintea lui David, au trimis să tocmească cu plată pe Sirienii din Bet-Rehov şi pe Sirienii din Ţoba, douăzeci de mii de pedestraşi, de la regele Amalecit din Maacha o mie de oameni şi din Iştov douăsprezece mii de oameni.
