10. Amasa însă nu s-a ferit de sabia care era în mâna lui Ioab şi acesta l-a lovit cu ea în pântece şi i-a vărsat măruntaiele jos şi nu i-a mai dat altă lovitură. Şi Amasa a murit. Apoi Ioab cu fratele său Abişai au alergat după Şeba, fiul lui Bicri.
