17. Dar i-a ajutat lui David Abişai, fiul Ţeruiei, şi a scăpat Abişai pe David şi a lovit pe filistean şi l-a omorât. Atunci oamenii lui David s-au jurat şi au zis: ,,Tu să nu mai ieşi cu noi la război, ca să nu se stingă făclia în Israel.
