Iar după aceea, făcându-se război mare şi izbânda fiind de partea lui Antioh, Arsinoe umbla şi ruga pe ostaşi cu jale şi cu lacrimi, cu părul despletit, ca şi pe sine şi pe pruncii săi şi pe femeile sale, bărbăteşte să le ajute, făgăduind că celor care vor birui, fiecăruia va da două mine de aur.
