42. Pentru aceea, regele, tocmai ca Falaris, s-a umplut de nesocotinţă şi de schimbările sufletului, care s-au făcut în el din pricina Iudeilor, nebăgând nici o seamă, cu jurământ spurcat s-a jurat cum că el, fără de nici o zăbavă, îi va trimite la iad pe aceştia, aruncându-i la genunchii şi la picioarele fiarelor.
