11. Şi iarăşi am văzut sub soare că izbânda în alergare nu este a celor iuţi şi biruinţa a celor viteji, şi pâinea a celor înţelepţi, nici bogăţia a celor pricepuţi, nici faima pentru cei învăţaţi, căci timpul şi întâmplarea întâmpină pe toţi.
