44. Voi sunteţi din tatăl vostru diavolul şi vreţi să faceţi poftele tatălui vostru. El, de la început, a fost ucigător de oameni şi nu a stat întru adevăr, pentru că nu este adevăr întru el. Când grăieşte minciuna, grăieşte dintru ale sale, căci este mincinos şi tatăl minciunii.
