1. Când au auzit regii Amoreilor, care locuiau peste Iordan şi regii Canaaneilor, care locuiau pe lângă mare, că Domnul Dumnezeu a secat râul Iordanului înaintea fiilor lui Israel până ce l-au trecut, a slăbit inima lor, s-au înspăimântat şi nu mai aveau curaj împotriva fiilor lui Israel.
