44. Voi sunteţi de la diavol, tatăl vostru, şi vreţi să îndepliniţi dorinţele tatălui vostru. El era un ucigaş de la început şi nu s-a menţinut în adevăr pentru că în el nu este adevăr. Cine spune minciuna, vorbeşte după firea lui, căci este mincinos şi tatăl minciunii.
