17. Şi David a zis lui Dumnezeu: "Oare n-am poruncit eu numărătoarea poporului? Eu am păcătuit şi am făcut răul acesta; dar oile acestea, ce au făcut oare? Doamne Dumnezeul meu, mâna Ta să fie, dar, peste mine şi peste casa tatălui meu şi să nu piardă pe poporul Tău!"
