15. Când i-a venit rândul să se ducă la împărat, Estera, fata lui Abihail, unchiul lui Mardoheu, care o înfiase, n-a cerut decât ce a fost rânduit de Hegai, famenul împăratului şi păzitorul femeilor. Estera căpăta trecere înaintea tuturor celor ce o vedeau.
