4. Dar domnitorii Filistenilor s-au mîniat pe Achiş, şi i-au zis: „Trimete înapoi pe omul acesta, ca să se întoarcă în locul unde l-ai aşezat; să nu se pogoare cu noi pe cîmpul de bătaie, ca să nu ne fie vrăjmaş în timpul luptei. Şi cum ar putea să se facă omul acesta plăcut stăpînului său, decît cu capetele oamenilor noştri?
