12. Împăratul s-a sculat noaptea, şi a zis slujitorilor săi: „Vreau să vă spun ce ne fac Sirienii. Fiindcă ştiu că sîntem flămînzi, au părăsit tabăra ca să se ascundă în ogoare, şi şi-au zis: „Cînd vor ieşi din cetate, îi vom prinde vii, şi vom intra în cetate.”
