14. Nevastă-sa Zereş, şi toţi prietenii lui i-au zis: „Să se pregătească o spînzurătoare înaltă de cincizeci de coţi, şi mîne dimineaţă cere împăratului ca Mardoheu să fie spînzurat. Apoi vei merge vesel la ospăţ cu împăratul.” Părerea aceasta a plăcut lui Haman, şi a pus să pregătească spînzurătoarea.
