15. Şi Iohanan, fiul lui Careah, a spus în taină lui Ghedalia, la Miţpa: „Dă-mi voie să mă duc să omor pe Ismael, fiul lui Netania. Nimeni n-are să ştie. Pentru ce să te omoare el, şi să se risipească toţi cei din Iuda, cari s-au strîns la tine, şi să piară rămăşiţa lui Iuda?”
