39. När David hörde att Nabal var död, sade han: "Lovad vare HERREN, som på Nabal har hämnats den smälek han tillfogade mig, och som har bevarat sin tjänare från att göra vad ont var, under det att HERREN lät Nabals ondska komma tillbaka över hans eget huvud!" Och David sände åstad och lät säga Abigail att han önskade få henne till sin hustru.
