32. Absalom svarade Joab: "Jag sände ju till dig och lät säga: Kom hit, så att jag kan skicka dig till konungen och låta säga: 'Varför fick jag komma hem från Gesur? Det hade varit bättre för mig, om jag ännu vore kvar där.' Nu vill jag komma inför konungens ansikte; och finnes någon missgärning hos mig, så må han döda mig."
