13. Då gick Gad in till David och förkunnade detta för honom. Han sade till honom: "Vill du att hungersnöd under sju år skall komma i ditt land? Eller att du i tre månader skall nödgas fly för dina ovänner, medan de förfölja dig? Eller att pest i tre dagar skall hemsöka ditt land? Betänk nu och eftersinna vilket svar jag skall giva honom som har sänt mig."
