8. Då nu konungens befallning och påbud blev kunnigt, och många unga kvinnor samlades tillhopa till Susans borg och överlämnades åt Hegai, blev ock Ester hämtad till konungshuset och överlämnad åt kvinnovaktaren Hegai.
