8. Och härmed giver jag befallning om huru I skolen förfara med dessa judarnas äldste, när de bygga på detta Guds hus. Av de penningar som givas åt konungen i skatt från landet på andra sidan floden skall vad som fordras för omkostnaderna redligt utgivas åt dessa män, så att hinder icke uppstår i arbetet.
